OPEN CALL FOR NEW PERFORMERS: COMPANY MEMBERS AND GUEST ARTISTS TO PERFORM IN NEW YORK CITY AND ALBANY COUNTY
On Saturday, December 2nd, 12:30-2pm, at ArtPartners/Tsehaya & Co., Inc. Dance Studios, two companies will be holding auditions for new members, ages 9 through Adult. Image Quilt Dance Theater (based in Albany’s South End) and ArtPartners/Tsehaya and Company, located at 103 Ontario Street and founded by Tsehaya D. Smith in 1993. The companies are looking for dancers ready and eager to commit to professional dance training with year-long performance opportunities in New York City and Albany County. Both companies have staged recent works at regional stages –The Linda, Kaatsban, The Arts Center of The Capital Region as well as venues in New York City. The companies feature repertory works by world renowned choreographers and emerging artists alike. 2024 performances include winter and spring concerts at Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts and the Capital Repertory Theater.
Open Call Auditions will give New Dancers an opportunity to perform as they study dance. Dancers can study and perform concurrently with other schools while working with us as company members or guest artists. The companies offer training in Ballet, Modern, Flamenco, Tap, Hip-Hop, and African-Caribbean dance by master teachers on Saturdays and weekday evenings.
